Facilitate the implementation of the district's Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies instrcutional program.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Texas teaching certification with appropriate endorsements.
• Master's degree or degree in progress

EXPERIENCE:

• Five years of successful classroom teaching experience
• Experience in working with culturally, socially, and economically diverse student and parent/guardian populations
• Strong leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with diverse groups and personalities in order to reach consensus on instructional and assessment strategies 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Model instructional strategies
• Provide direct support for teachers of Middle School language arts and social studies
• Visit classrooms and conference with teachers to assist in development of appropriate teaching strategies
• Exhibit a high level of ethics and confidentiality in regards to student and teacher records and classroom performance
• Work collaboratively to design staff development programs to address areas of deficiency

$5,000 stipend added to salary
