For the 2018-2019 School Year
Primary Purpose:
Work together with campus administrators, CTE leadership and peers to deliver effective instruction and other activities relating to the Health Science program, specifically in the area of Nursing.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate (HST) with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to effectively teach and work with high school students, peers and other professionals
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively communicate and work with students, peers, parents, administrators, business partners, community and others.
Have a working knowledge of the objectives and TEKS of courses in the program
Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with medical training stations at hospitals and other facilities in the area
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years fulltime wage earning experience in the field of nursing.
Works a 187 day calendar.
$3,000 annual stipend for qualified candidates. |
