RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist students with disabilities in general classrooms with assignments, accommodations, and other IEP specified support
• Assist classroom teacher with monitoring progress on assignments and developing necessary materials or manipulative objects to assist with instructional strategies 
• Work with collaborative teachers as assigned or deemed appropriate

REQUIREMENT

• Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED certificate and have a minimum of 60 hours from an accredited college or university
• Must have experience related to working with students
• Must possess the ability to work well with others
• Flexibility in working with the total education team is necessary
• Must maintain confidentiality
• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing
• Some lifting and physical assistance with students may be required
• Ability to move books, media equipment, assistive technology equipment and other classroom equipment
