For the 2017-2018 school year
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree
- Texas Mid-Management or Principal certification
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
- Five (5) years experience as a classroom teacher
- One (1) year leadership role
SKILLS:
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate campus support operations
Primary Purpose / Responsibilities:
- Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations
- Serve as principal for assigned academy of teachers and students
- Participate in development and evaluation of educational programs
- Promote a positive, caring climate for learning
- Participate in development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members
- Supervise operations in principal's absence
- Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable
- Conduct conferences on students and school issues with parents, students and teachers
