For the 2017-2018 school year

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree
• Texas Mid-Management or Principal certification
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
• Five (5) years experience as a classroom teacher
• One (1) year leadership role

SKILLS:

• Thorough understanding of school operations
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate campus support operations

Primary Purpose / Responsibilities:

• Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations 
• Serve as principal for assigned academy of teachers and students
• Participate in development and evaluation of educational programs
• Promote a positive, caring climate for learning
• Participate in development of campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members
• Supervise operations in principal's absence
• Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable
• Conduct conferences on students and school issues with parents, students and teachers
