PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide support to campus LPAC administrator on the execution of LPAC guidelines and processes to identify, place, review, reclassify and monitor Emergent Bilinguals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with LPAC or English Language learners preferred, 45 or more college hours,

Microsoft Office and Google Suite literate,

Ability to read, write and speak Spanish ?uently, ability to multitask throughout the day

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

Monitor campus student enrollment to identify, assist with LPAC and place possible EB/LEP students.

Assist LPAC administrator in maintaining required campus LPAC documentation and students’ EB folders/Filebound documents current.

Prepare, administer and score EB identification assessment(s) for new students.

Collaborate with school personnel to obtain school records for Texas transfer students.

Attend all required district LPAC trainings and meetings.

Coordinate scheduling of campus LPAC meetings.

Keep LPAC administrator informed and aware of campus LPAC needs.

Complete reports in a timely manner and submit them to the Multilingual Department when required.

Communicate with parents and keep them aware of their child’s current needs and EB status.
